Valentine's Day & Night

Happy Valentine's Day, loves!

Valentine's Day may be a bit cheesy and commercialized, but I relish in the idea of taking a day to wear pink with abandon, indulge in sweets, and spoil your loved ones.  Why not, right?!

Here's how I'm getting into the spirit today:

I know it's cheesy to wear a red sweater to work on Valentine's day...but I do it!  I also wear green on St. Paddy's day, orange and black on Halloween, and so on and so forth.  Sue me!  Today I'm going to add some red tinted lip balm, some romantic pearls, and pick up some lovely heart-shaped donuts from Dunkin on the way to work to share with my coworkers!

Then tomorrow night, R and I will be having our Valentine's Day date.  We couldn't get a reservation at the place we wanted to go to (18 Seaboard, for you Raleigh-ites) and wanted to be able to go to a place without a prix fix menu, so we decided to just have our date on Friday.  I am super pumped!

Here's what I'll be donning:

I plan on blowing my hair out and curling it to make the night feel special.  I'm also going to go with super pink lips and black liquid liner to spice up my normal makeup routine.  Last but not least, I'll be breaking out my Tiffany heart pearl lariat that R gifted me a number of years ago.  I love it and break it out for special dates because of the romantic drop look.
