upgrading our decor

Good morning, all!

R and I are slowly buying new pieces of furniture, art and other decor.  As I have mentioned before, we have done a pretty good job decorating with hand-me-downs and photographs for the past three years... but now that we're married and have actual incomes, we feel it's time for some upgrades. 

Here is our most recent purchase....

The Sloane leaning bookcase/media center from Crate & Barrel

We love love LOVE this and can't wait until it comes in the mail.  I'm already dreaming about how to outfit the shelves....which brings me to the next picture:

I saw this print on Preppy Girl Meets World and knew that R and I had to have one of our homestate- Delaware- with a heart over Wilmington where we grew up and met.  This will definitely go on the bookcase.

Then lastly, I came across this sign:

Well this is actually three of them together to show some of the different color options.  We would get it in a cobalt blue most likely because our kitchen (in our next place which we'll be moving to sometime this year) will have blue and yellow accents.  The saying means "the kitchen is the heart of the home" in Italian.  Italy and anything Italian remind R and I of our study abroad during law school in Italy where we got engaged, so I think this would be a great addition.
