Morning, all! Hope you're enjoying a leisurely Sunday.
On Friday I went to R's new company's "after-holiday holiday" party. I got out of work a few hours early and ran around to a few stores to try and find something new to wear (new dress? new clutch? something!). I didn't find anything worth buying, which was a little frustrating, so I decided to run to Target and pick up a new nail polish to give myself a quick DIY manicure.
Over the holidays my sister introduced me to Sally Hansen Insta-dri nail polish. She told me it was super fast drying and that it had a brush that made it easy to do yourself. I was very skeptical. I rarely paint my fingernails because I do such a poor job on my right hand that it's embarrassing. But I thought, what the hell, I'll try it out.
Turns out she was right! The brush is very thick and flat-- so basically you do one or two swipes on your nail and your whole nail is covered. This leaves very little room for error. It also dries super quick. We're talking like a minute or 90 seconds. Not semi-dry but still tacky. DRY. completely.
So far I've used silver and a bright fuchsia and made no mistakes. It's amazing! I'm going to buy it in several more colors.
One drawback is that I think it's a little more matte looking than other polishes-- but this could probably be remedied by adding a clear topcoat if you really want a shiny finish. It doesn't really bother me and I appreciate the ease of just swiping on the color and getting on with life, so I just left it as is both times.
Check it out!
*this was not a solicited post. I really just like this product and wanted to tell you about it!*

I'll need to try this the next time I'm on vacation :)
