Happy hump day, everyone! We're halfway there...
Today I wanted to share with you the gallery wall of some wedding pictures we hung up at the top of our stairs. We got the set of frames as a wedding present from Bed Bath & Beyond. The center picture is 8 x 10 and the rest are 5 x 7. We chose to do mostly black and white with two soft, vintage colored pictures (one of me looking at my bouquet and one of his bowtie), and I really like the effect. We also didn't want the pictures to be an overload of people--- we wanted it to be more artistic. As a result, we decided we'd only do pictures of the two of us. Here it is:
I know I still haven't shared my wedding pictures on the blog... I really need to do that but I also kind of want to submit them to a few wedding blogs and am unclear as to whether posting it on my own blog would render them ineligible.
Since it's kind of hard to see, the picture all the way to the left is R at the bottom of the stairs and me at the top of the stairs before our wedding-- we couldn't see each other. It was kind of a spin on the pictures people do on either sides of a door. The one to the right, below that one is a picture of our wedding rings balancing on a door handle.

Love the gallery wall... our stairwell desperately needs something like that and I keep saying I'm going to do it, and then I never do.
ReplyDeleteAbout submitting to blogs, this is what I learned when I was doing it. The easiest way is to ask your photographer to do it for you. That's usually who the big blogs want to hear from anyway, and there might be a blogger that he/she already has a relationship with. Also, you're right not to post pictures here yet. The wedding blog is going to want original/exclusive content, and you won't be able to offer that if you've already done a big post here. Just my two cents, hope it helps!
